About The Position

Environmental Lab Analysts work under the direction of a Team Manager and perform testing on routine and non-routine samples using chemical analysis techniques. The work is conducted in an environment regulated by NELAP standards enforced by TCEQ. Analysts also handle sample login, instrument upkeep, results review and reporting.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate of Science degree in chemistry or Bachelor of Science degree in physical science; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on routine and non-routine samples using gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy, gas chromatography/flame ionization detector, TSS, TOC, pH testing, ICP-OES, and mercury testing.
• Log samples.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate instruments.
• Review test results, investigate failing results, and create data validation packets.
• Report non-regulatory results to customers.
