Environmental Health Specialist-In Training
About The Position
This position is for an Environmental Health Specialist-In Training. The examination process includes an oral exam, which assesses training, education, experience, interest, and personal fitness. Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 70% in each examination phase. The Human Resources Division may appraise application materials if there are insufficient candidates for an oral exam. Incumbents must obtain a valid certificate of registration as an Environmental Health Specialist from the State of California Department of Health Services within 36 months of employment; failure to do so will result in termination.
Requirements
- Possession of a letter of qualifications issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services, Environmental Health Services section, verifying applicant is eligible to enter an approved Environmental Health Specialist training program.
- Valid government-issued photograph identification for examination admittance.
- Ability to submit to post-offer medical and drug screening tests.
