About The Position

We are seeking an experienced EHS Superintendent to support a large-scale, mission-critical data center construction program in Northern Indiana. This role is responsible for leading Environmental, Health & Safety oversight across active construction sites, ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving proactive risk mitigation across all project activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects and will be confident operating in fast-paced, high-complexity environments with multiple contractors and trades on site.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of EHS experience within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction environments
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
  • Experience working on large, multi-trade job sites with high contractor activity
  • Ability to lead safety initiatives across multiple subcontractors and disciplines
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data center, industrial, or large infrastructure projects preferred
  • Additional safety certifications preferred
  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field is a plus
  • Candidates may come from general contractors, construction management firms, or large-scale infrastructure projects with strong safety programs.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical environments such as data centers, manufacturing facilities, airports, or complex commercial developments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day EHS oversight across active construction sites
  • Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks to ensure compliance
  • Support and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Lead site safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and corrective actions
  • Work closely with project leadership, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain a strong safety culture
  • Monitor high-risk activities including hot work, lifting operations, electrical work, and working at height
  • Ensure proper documentation of safety records, permits, and compliance logs
  • Coordinate with clients, EHS managers, and regulatory authorities as required
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety performance across all project teams
