About The Position
Emerson has an exciting opportunity for students interested in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS). Based in Mansfield, MA, this role involves completing activities such as Departmental/Tooling Inspections, Job Safety Analysis, Safety Observations, Ergonomic Assessments, SDS Inventory/Chemical Assessments, LOTO Program, and other related projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, occupational safety & health (OHS), Facilities Management or related field
Nice To Haves
- Completed coursework in construction safety
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 GPA or higher
- Sophomore or higher-class status
- Previous related co-op/intern experience in safety (corporate or manufacturing environment)
Responsibilities
- Review and support the updates to a variety of formal safety programs (i.e., Lockout, Fall Protection, GHS)
- Perform safety surveys and engage employees in their work
- Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement of safety processes
- Assist and lead projects under the supervision of the Site ESH Manager
Benefits
- Hourly pay for this role is $24-$28, commensurate with the year in school and experience each candidate brings to a role.
