About The Position

The Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist supports multiple client accounts and assists with special projects focused on environmental risk management, including due diligence and compliance. The Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist works with colleagues and clients to mitigate environmental risk through development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental programs—handling research assignments, permits, reports, and other regulatory requirements so clients can stay compliant and focused on their operations. The EHS Specialist may also develop and manage environmental assessment studies (e.g. acquisition/divestment, compliance, operations and maintenance) and conduct compliance audits, deliver technical environmental training, and gather and analyze the data needed for permitting and regulatory reporting. This combination of program management, on-site evaluation, training, and data analysis helps MMA Environmental clients mitigate their environmental risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, EPCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) governing hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, and air emissions.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel for complex data analysis and reporting) and proficiency with federal and state environmental reporting systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proven capability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills, able to manage multiple activities independently and think strategically while acting tactically.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
