About The Position

As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, you’ll be part of our T&O Global Supply Chain team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to create and follow up the Internal Audit program, act as the Site’s Document Control Coordinator, and act as the Site’s Corrective Actions Coordinator. You will work with the Staff to create and maintain the training matrix, administer training programs created by the department owners based on operations needs, and coach Department owners in creating certification programs for key positions. You will schedule trainings and create a culture of mindfulness of safety practices, track, maintain and archive all training documentation and databases to keep a real-time status, and provide support on EHS related activities as needed. You will drive and promote safety culture and employee engagement throughout the business, drive the 5S program throughout the facility, define schedules and generate monthly reports, and perform other duties assigned to meet the business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing with an emphasis in training, health and safety systems or equivalent experience in a technical environment requiring adherence to training on strong health and safety practices.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Minimum OSHA courses completed (Recordkeeping; Hazard Identification; Risk Assessment).
  • Ability to communicate verbally and/or in written form effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in any Manufacturing related certification a plus.
  • OSHA 10-hour course completion (prefer OSHA 30-hour course completion).
  • Experience as a trainer/teacher of manufacturing, EHS subjects.
  • Knowledgeable in performing audits.
  • Computer software animation or AI knowledgeable.
  • TCEQ, & EPA knowledgeable (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concept a plus.
