The Safety Specialist II plays a key role in supporting, implementing, and sustaining environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace within the Rigging & Crating field. This position serves as a trusted safety resource across multiple sites, actively partnering with leadership, field personnel, and external regulatory agencies to foster a strong, proactive safety culture. The Safety Specialist II is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating workplace hazards through routine audits, inspections, job hazard analyses, and incident investigations. This role provides both technical and administrative support for EHS programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, customer requirements, and internal safety standards. Through training delivery, coaching, and hands-on field engagement, the Safety Specialist II drives continuous improvement in safety performance, reduces workplace incidents and losses, and supports operational teams in integrating safety into daily work practices. While this position does not have direct supervisory authority, it functions as a coach, mentor, and subject matter expert, supporting site leadership and project safety personnel. The Safety Specialist II also plays an active role in incident management, regulatory reporting, and collaboration with occupational health providers and insurance partners to support injury prevention and effective case management.
