About The Position

Manage the Environmental, Health and Safety program for the Avery Creek facility. Manage the loss control program and direct the activities of contracted security and healthcare personnel. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all site facility infrastructure both for manufacturing and office operations. Oversees and coordinates all facilities work throughout the building including the management of capital and expense spend. Responsible for managing and executing contractor management program for third party contractors performing work on site. Partner with Human Resources and onsite healthcare personnel for proper case management and employee support. Maintain the facility in compliance with all regulatory needs (EPA, OSHA, etc.). Administer the Safety and Environmental program according to guidelines set forth by Corporate. Ensure a safe and healthful workplace for employees. Maintain a strong and viable Safety Council program. Provide mandatory and/or other necessary Safety and Environmental training to employees. Prepare and submit Environmental Permits and reports and comply with other OSHA and EPA recordkeeping and reporting requirements. Other duties, projects, as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years of experience working in environmental health and safety for manufacturing organization.
One (1) year of experience leading project teams and/or people.
Demonstrated leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities.
Knowledge of ergonomics principles applied to product or workplace design
Proven ability to lead strategic planning initiatives
Proficiency in Federal and state laws and OSHA and EPA regulations.
Knowledge of Worker's Compensation
Comfortability with public speaking and the ability to provide training to small and large groups.
Ability to work with and lead individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.
