About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for managing the EHS programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The EHS Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company's operational and safety goals, maintain a safe and compliant working environment. The employee will be working both in the office and the field environment. Employee will travel to work site locations where the employee is expected to dress in appropriate manner to deal with client and customers. Travel will be necessary to meet the requirements for the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience or a Master’s degree and 7 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment preferred.
  • 2-3 years of Leadership / Supervisory or Lead experience.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Security Clearance Preferred
  • Previous DoD, Military or Aerospace facilities experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) preferred.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling Certification (or equivalent) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of work areas and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead the development of risk assessments, safety training programs, and emergency response procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation and tracking of corrective actions following workplace accidents, incidents, or near misses.
  • Manage hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal procedures in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Provide regular safety training, including onboarding new employees and periodic refreshers for existing staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding environmental, health, and safety compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports related to EHS and compliance activities.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for any safety-related issues.
  • Prepare and submit regular EHS reports to senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
