About The Position
L3Harris is seeking a proactive and dedicated Environmental, Health, Safety, & Sustainability (EHS&S) intern to contribute to the development and improvement of EHS programs, policies, and training. The intern will help foster a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. The position is located in Camden, Arkansas, and follows a 4/10 schedule: employees work 10-hour days, four days a week.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Systems Safety, Human Factors, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of OSHA, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), indoor air quality, hazardous noise, cranes, and aerial lift operations.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and improving EHS programs and policies.
- Respond to employee concerns regarding health and safety issues.
- Conduct hazardous noise surveys and perform Job Hazard Analyses.
- Evaluate indoor air quality and track evaluation data.
- Coordinate with third-party contractors on EHS-related activities.
- Participate in laboratory health and safety audits.
- Engage in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Contribute to health and safety reviews of chemical purchase requests.
