About The Position

The Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager will lead and manage all aspects of environmental, health, and safety initiatives within the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements, coordinating EHS programs, and fostering a strong safety culture. The manager will also oversee environmental compliance, workers' compensation administration, and collaborate with various departments to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation administration and case management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.
  • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and administer EHS programs across the facility.
  • Support and participate in safety committee meetings and related activities.
  • Partner with Toyota personnel at TGTX and other TG AMC Safety leaders to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory safety standards.
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct EHS training programs, including site-specific training.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and leadership on safety-related matters.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and near-miss events.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce future risk.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to incidents and corrective actions.
  • Manage environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management and disposal, air emissions compliance, water quality and wastewater requirements, and environmental reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Support sustainability initiatives that align with company goals and environmental objectives.
  • Oversee and maintain Workers' Compensation cases and records.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and employees regarding claims.
  • Monitor restricted duty and lost-time cases and work to minimize their impact through effective case management and return-to-work programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support environmental, health, and safety objectives.
  • Work closely with Operations, Human Resources, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure EHS compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives that improve workplace safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics to senior leadership, including incident and injury rates, near-miss reporting, training completion rates, environmental compliance measures, and Workers' Compensation trends.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data.
