About The Position

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Coordinator Location: Jonesboro, AR, 72401 Picture your day: you start with a quick floor walk, spotting improvement opportunities and greeting team members. You sync with operations to review yesterday’s audit notes, then lead a hands-on toolbox talk that turns regulations into practical, easy-to-apply habits. Midday, you fine-tune a safety procedure, investigate a near-miss with curiosity and care, and document findings that drive real changes. You wrap by updating training records and planning next week’s inspection schedule—keeping our people safe and our site compliant.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in a Safety Coordinator or equivalent safety role.
  • Deep familiarity with OSHA standards and recognized safety practices.
  • Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
  • Workplace Safety & EHS Management proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a closely related field
  • Safety certifications such as CSP or CHST are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build, roll out, and continuously improve safety programs and procedures aligned with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Plan and conduct routine audits and inspections; proactively identify hazards and verify corrective actions are completed.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and refreshers; ensure employees have the knowledge and resources to respond to emergencies.
  • Lead or support incident and accident investigations; analyze root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with leaders to embed a strong, visible safety culture across all departments.
  • Maintain precise documentation for incidents, inspections, and training activities.
  • Track industry best practices and regulatory changes to keep programs current and compliant.
