About The Position

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking qualified candidates for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Analyst role at its Cleveland, TN location. This onsite position is crucial for maintaining a safe work environment by focusing on accident prevention, emergency control, and regulatory compliance. The EHS Analyst will champion occupational safety programs, ensure adherence to the Whirlpool Global EHS Policy, and drive the plant's quality and safety objectives. This role leads the "Whirlpool We Care" Management System standards and has the authority to halt any process or activity posing a critical risk to employee health, safety, or the environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering, or EHS field)
  • Experience in safety legal requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 1+ years of experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM SAF)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal OSHA laws, regulations, and environmental standards
  • Strong capabilities in Strategic Planning, Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision-Making
  • Excellent Teamwork, Effective Communication, Proactivity, Leadership, and People Management skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with legal requirements by identifying, evaluating, and implementing specific protocols and operational controls. Demand adherence to corporate and legal standards.
  • Lead the implementation, certification, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Whirlpool We Care Management System. Act as an Element Champion during internal and external audits.
  • Manage the WCM Safety Pillar methodology, including its indicators, standards, budgets, and required documentation. Coordinate related training sessions for all employees and contractors.
  • Ensure ongoing facility compliance. Lead and participate in regulatory and WCM audits, ensuring the timely closure of all findings from audits, inspections, and walk-throughs.
  • Supervise and lead the safety techs team.
  • Ensure all plant changes and new projects are implemented according to WCM and Whirlpool standards. Implement improvements via the Safety Route Map in coordination with other departments and external contractors.
  • Monitor and measure departmental KPIs, ensuring all safety objectives are consistently met, and execute on-time closures of actions assigned in the Safety Compliance Calendar.
