About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will partner with employees across the organization to promote a "Work Safe/Home Safe" culture through training, audits, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role supports safety initiatives across field operations, manufacturing, and service teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about workplace safety, enjoys working with people, and wants to make a real impact. The position involves travel throughout the U.S. approximately 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field OR Two or more years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, industrial operations, construction, utilities, or another fast-paced safety environment.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices
  • Experience conducting safety audits and hazard assessments
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and safe operating procedures
  • Familiarity with safety reporting systems and compliance documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence coaching employees on safe work practices
  • Ability to influence positive behavior through collaboration rather than enforcement
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and compliance requirements
  • Strong documentation and recordkeeping abilities
  • Ability to identify workplace risks and develop practical solutions
  • Comfortable making decisions in dynamic field environments
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of company-wide Environmental Health & Safety programs.
  • Travel to customer job sites throughout the United States to conduct safety audits, observe work practices, provide coaching, and reinforce OSHA compliance.
  • Deliver equipment safety training for forklifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment.
  • Document audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Monitor and track safety incidents, near misses, property damage, vehicle accidents, and workers' compensation records.
  • Submit customer-required safety prequalification forms and historical safety metrics.
  • Coordinate employee safety training, certifications, background checks, and compliance requirements.
  • Support emergency response planning, inspections, safety committee meetings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist with drug and alcohol testing programs, including serving as a Designated Employer Representative (DER).
  • Communicate new safety policies, procedures, and regulatory updates across the organization.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation and ongoing monthly safety training.
  • Partner with leaders across multiple departments to strengthen our safety culture.
  • Assist with additional EHS initiatives and projects as assigned.
