About The Position

Keystone Industries is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join our team. This role is based ONSITE in Cherry Hill, NJ, and offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The EH&S Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations within our office/manufacturing setting.

Requirements

Understanding of OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, BATF, DOT, CAA, CWW, RTK regulations and reporting requirements
Knowledge of chemical properties, associated hazards, proper labeling and storage requirements.
Familiar with SDS sheets and their requirements.
Knowledge of e hazard materials emergency response actions, including spill containment, cleanup and reporting requirements.
Good interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to supervise, delegate and work well with others.
Strong organizational skills.
Independent and detail-oriented.
The ability to review and create technical documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Four-year degree in Environmental Science or other scientific discipline or relevant work experience in the hazard material regulatory or safety field.

Responsibilities

Assist with all waste management practices to ensure proper facility handling, including proper identification of waste streams, storage, disposal, waste manifest documentation and other associated duties.
Assist in writing and reviewing all safety related SOP’s and preparation and implementation of safety-training program for employees.
Coordinate safety-training requirements for outside contractors and ensure proper documentation of training.
Perform periodic H&S and various other audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Perform environmental monitoring including monthly and as needed air testing and periodic audible testing.
Assist in all aspects of providing PPE to employees.
Assist in internal emergency response regarding spills and evacuations.
On occasion work with hazardous chemicals and waste.
