About The Position

Keystone Industries is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join our team. This role is based ONSITE in Cherry Hill, NJ, and offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The EH&S Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations within our office/manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • Understanding of OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, BATF, DOT, CAA, CWW, RTK regulations and reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of chemical properties, associated hazards, proper labeling and storage requirements.
  • Familiar with SDS sheets and their requirements.
  • Knowledge of e hazard materials emergency response actions, including spill containment, cleanup and reporting requirements.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to supervise, delegate and work well with others.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Independent and detail-oriented.
  • The ability to review and create technical documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Four-year degree in Environmental Science or other scientific discipline or relevant work experience in the hazard material regulatory or safety field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all waste management practices to ensure proper facility handling, including proper identification of waste streams, storage, disposal, waste manifest documentation and other associated duties.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing all safety related SOP’s and preparation and implementation of safety-training program for employees.
  • Coordinate safety-training requirements for outside contractors and ensure proper documentation of training.
  • Perform periodic H&S and various other audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Perform environmental monitoring including monthly and as needed air testing and periodic audible testing.
  • Assist in all aspects of providing PPE to employees.
  • Assist in internal emergency response regarding spills and evacuations.
  • On occasion work with hazardous chemicals and waste.
