About The Position

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager provides leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction to develop, implement, and continuously improve SurePoint Ag's environmental, health, and safety programs. The role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing operational risk, advancing environmental stewardship, and fostering a culture of safety excellence across the organization. The EHS Manager partners with site leadership, employees, and John Deere EHS resources to integrate environmental, health, and safety considerations into business operations and support implementation of John Deere Health and Safety (JDHS) standards and management system requirements.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment processes, hazard recognition, incident investigation, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, databases, and EHS management systems.
  • Ability to lead change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, incident investigation, and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience implementing EHS programs and compliance initiatives in an operational environment.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively influencing cross-functional teams and leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Over 3 years to 6 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or related operations.
  • Experience implementing EHS management systems, audit programs, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, acquisitions, integrations, or culture improvement initiatives.
