Cisco’s Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) organization is dedicated to ensuring a safe environment for today and tomorrow by enabling strong EHS performance and regulatory compliance across all offices, labs, and operational sites. The EHS team collaborates closely with Workplace Resources, stakeholder organizations, and regional leadership to mitigate risk and enhance safety culture. The team is proactive, data-driven, collaborative, and operates within a fast-paced, international hybrid work model, with a current focus on integrating AI to accelerate safety outcomes and establish Cisco as a leader in the tech industry for safety. As the AMER EHS Theater Lead, this role serves as the primary liaison between the EHS organization and regional partners. The manager will translate EHS requirements into scalable programs and ensure consistent execution throughout the Americas. Key responsibilities include leading an experienced Americas EHS team and driving corporate EHS initiatives to strengthen compliance, improve safety culture, and reduce EHS risks across Cisco operations. The position also involves managing EHS-related compliance activities, such as operating the North American regulated waste management program, coordinating responses to external EHS inquiries, and supporting regulatory and ISO 14001 and 45001 engagements. The manager will leverage EHS data and systems, augmented by AI tools, to derive insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making. Success in this role is measured by effective team management and leadership, improved EHS theater performance, timely closure of compliance gaps, and demonstrable progress in reducing the likelihood of serious injury, illness, or non-compliance.
