As a Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you’ll be part of our T&O Global Supply Chain team working as an on-site employee. You’ll be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, health and safety programs for the Jackson plant. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. You will translate corporate EHS requirements into site-specific management systems, partner with corporate EHS leads, and interface with regulatory agencies. You will manage and direct the site in achieving EHS targets & objectives, support the creation of EHS goals for site leadership, and serve as the technical expert for EHS matters. Additionally, you will identify and communicate best management practices, oversee EHS Coordinators during facility restructuring, analyze and report performance, and facilitate EHS audits. You will also assure compliance with all OSHA regulatory standards, including industrial hygiene, energy control (LOTO), NFPA 70e, confined space entry, fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial trucks, hot work, and contractor safety. Experience with storm water permits and sampling protocols is also required, along with the ability to manage training for staff on various safety topics.
