About The Position

The Manager, Environmental Health and Safety leads environmental, health, and safety programs across assigned branch and field operations. This role supports a fast growing, decentralized organization with active job sites, fleet operations, and rental yard environments. You will partner closely with branch managers, field leaders, and operations teams to embed safety into daily work without slowing execution. You are accountable for compliance, incident management, and risk reduction while balancing operational urgency in a private equity backed growth environment. This role reports to senior HSE leadership and has influence across geographically dispersed locations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, including CFR 1910 and 1926
  • Experience in industrial services, rental, construction, or asset intensive environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of DOT fleet safety and driver compliance
  • Proven experience managing incidents and corrective actions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence field teams
  • High attention to detail with sound operational judgment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, in lieu of a degree a minimum of ten years of progressive EHS experience.

  • Professional safety certification such as CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST, or equivalent preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Own compliance with OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926 across branch, yard, fleet, and field operations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for OSHA and other regulatory agencies during inspections and audits
  • Ensure consistent application of environmental, health, and safety regulations across geographically dispersed locations
  • Monitor regulatory changes and translate requirements into clear, actionable guidance
  • Maintain audit readiness and strong compliance documentation
  • Embed safety into daily execution across branch and field operations
  • Own workplace incident management from initial response through root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Drive accountability for injuries, near misses, vehicle incidents, and property damage
  • Partner with branch managers and field leaders to address unsafe behaviors and conditions
  • Balance compliance requirements with operational urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop, implement, and maintain practical HSE policies and procedures aligned with field realities
  • Serve as a recognized OSHA instructor or deliver OSHA based safety training
  • Support the development and rollout of platform wide safety training programs
  • Create, manage, and review site specific safety plans for active job sites and rental operations
  • Promote consistent safety expectations and standards across all locations
  • Maintain working knowledge of DOT fleet compliance and driver safety requirements
  • Oversee driver safety, fleet incidents, and compliance programs
  • Own divisional emergency preparedness and response processes
  • Oversee drug and alcohol program compliance
  • Manage safety management systems and reporting tools to track performance and trends
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports or matrixed safety resources as assigned
  • Communicate clearly with field employees, branch leadership, and executive stakeholders
  • Identify trends and root causes and translate data into practical field solutions
  • Plan and execute safety related process improvements that support scale and growth
  • Influence safety culture through credibility, consistency, and follow through
