About The Position

We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to provide on-the-floor EHS support at our manufacturing facility. This is a 6-month contract position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM EST, and requires strong leadership skills. The role involves conducting routine floor audits, supporting employee engagement in safety initiatives, assisting with incident investigations, monitoring compliance, and providing guidance on EHS matters.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs and machine safety.
• Strong working knowledge of Fall Protection requirements and implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of Dock safety, including pedestrian and powered industrial vehicle interactions.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Emergency Response Programs, emergency preparedness, and incident management.
• Strong working knowledge of Risk assessment and hazard identification methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Incident investigation and corrective action processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Employee safety engagement and behavior-based safety initiatives.
• Strong Leadership skills
• Required certification

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine floor audits and safety observations.
• Supporting employee engagement and safety initiatives.
• Assisting with incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
• Monitoring compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures.
• Providing guidance and coaching to operators, supervisors, and managers on EHS matters.
• Assisting with hazard identification and risk reduction activities.
• Supporting safety training and communication efforts as needed.
• Maintaining EHS documentation and assisting with compliance-related activities.
