About The Position

Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, manages the sites DOD 4145 Contractor Explosive Program, ensures DMCA 8201 Contractor Safety requirements are maintained, and/or company policies. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Develops, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous waste disposal firms, ensures proper waste handling and disposal takes place. Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures. Prepares environmental program reports and assist with permits, reporting, renewals, inspections and audits. Supports sites Hazardous Materials, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety programs and provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of ESH experience
  • Experience in ESH Programs such as Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Wastes, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Machine Guarding, and/or Electrical Safety
  • DOD 4145 - DOD Contractor’s Safety Manual for Ammunition and Explosives
  • DCMA 8210 - Defense Contract Management Agency
