You will play a key role in developing and implementing the annual EHS plan, as well as driving continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing EHS practices and processes to promote a safer workplace. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) years of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience within a private, public, government or military environment
  • OR
  • High School Diploma/GED AND seven (7) years of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience within a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Environmental, Health and Safety discipline from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in a healthcare products or medical device environment
  • Experience supporting liquid dispensing, automated assembly, or chemical handling processes
  • Experience analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
  • Experience applying ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, cGMP, or other quality system or change control requirements
  • Experience organizing projects, activities, or documentation while communicating with stakeholders across an organization
  • Experience driving process improvements and executing initiatives to achieve operational objectives

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical expertise and training on all aspects of the site’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance efforts, including Management of Change (MOC), ergonomics, industrial hygiene, fall protection, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and emergency response coordination.
  • Developing appropriate documentation on plant systems to ensure compliance with Solventum requirements, including OSHA regulations, EHS Management Systems, and other applicable programs.
  • Assisting in achieving departmental and plant Lean Six Sigma targets by leading EHS projects, delivering required EHS training to plant personnel, representing the site during audits by staff groups, and coordinating/training the Site Emergency Response Team.
  • Auditing site processes to ensure compliance with Solventum, EPA, and OSHA policies on topics such as Management of Change, industrial hygiene, confined space entry/rescue, and Lockout/Tagout.
  • Providing EHS support in the design and installation of new or modified equipment, acting as the point of contact for regulatory matters involving the EPA, MoDNR, and OSHA, and participating in or leading investigations of EHS incidents.
  • Corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
