About The Position

The Environmental Health and Safety Director will coordinate with management to maintain, administer, and enforce company-wide safety policies and procedures. This role ensures company compliance with federal and state safety and environmental regulations, provides technical safety and health support to production and office personnel, and maintains corporate safety and health programs. The Director will assess and recommend areas of improvement, serve as the primary contact with all federal and state environmental agencies, and coordinate and facilitate regulatory inspections. Additionally, this position is responsible for tracking and renewing permits and safety training schedules.

Requirements

• Ability to drive to and from several Southern California company locations
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce and management
• Possess experience in safety practices by working in relevant field or industry
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to earn safety certifications and industry-specific fundamentals
• Strong computer skills (MS Office / Outlook)
• Ability to work under pressure and make strong decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree preferred
• Bilingual a plus, but not necessary
• Prior experience with most of the following preferred: CALOSHA, CARB, SCAQMD, EPA, Fire Departments, Regional Water Quality
