About The Position
Clean Harbors in Detroit, MI is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety-conscious team. This role will be active in the field, responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. Team members will be primarily responsible for the safe and compliant transfer of bulk materials from tankers to railcars. This position requires new hires to attend a two-week Academy training out of state, with expenses covered by the company and paid training.
Requirements
- Driver's license required
- Availability to work a flexible schedule is required
- Must attend two-week out-of-state Academy training
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up
- Perform site remediation
- Perform equipment decontamination
- Handle hazardous materials
