About The Position
Clean Harbors in Logan, New Jersey, is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist CDL (CleanPack Chemist). This customer-facing, non-laboratory-based position works daily at customer sites and in indoor and outdoor settings, including plants, laboratories, and customer facilities. The role handles, segregates, packs, and inspects chemical waste in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies and procedures. It also assists with lab packs at customer facilities, household hazardous waste collections, and laboratory moves.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Class A CDL.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements within 60 days of employment.
- Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, as required for the position.
- Meet facial-hair standards if assigned to a position requiring a respirator, in accordance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard.
Responsibilities
- Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste according to applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with lab packs within customer facilities.
- Assist with household hazardous waste collections and laboratory moves.
- Work at customer sites and in indoor and outdoor settings.
