About The Position

CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This position offers early-career candidates the opportunity to apply their engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects while building technical expertise and growing within a dynamic team. In this role, you will support the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
0 years of experience.
Basic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
Basic Knowledge of engineer principles of design.
Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
Good verbal and written communication ability.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Responsibilities

Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
Use tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software to support project design and analysis.
Office and in-field coordination to support regional lead service line rehabilitation projects.
Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
