About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As an Environmental Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by developing and implementing environmental programs/practices aimed to mitigate hazards and ensure compliance within the site. You will interpret, implement, coordinate, and maintain the regulatory compliance rhythm to assure completion of reporting and recording for applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental Permits, regulations, and programs. You will analyze environmental data, self-assessments, reports, and trends, communicating findings and recommendations for correction of gaps to operational leadership. You will develop a broad knowledge and understanding of external environmental activities and technologies and how they relate to the businesses of the division/staff organization. You will evaluate complex regulatory challenges across environmental medias related to dynamic manufacturing operations. You will establish and cultivate a network of intra-divisional support to facilitate completion of environmental assignments. You will communicate environmental projects and/or program status and results to operational Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Proven track record working with Teams.
  • Provide education and work history, either by uploading a resume or entering the information into the application fields directly.

Nice To Haves

  • Internships, Co-ops, and/or 1-2 years of related Environmental or Engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Leadership experience in previous roles, clubs, extra-curricular activities, or other organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing environmental programs/practices aimed to mitigate hazards and ensure compliance within the site.
