About The Position

The Environmental Engineer will be involved with all aspects associated with waste water & water processing, engineering environmental systems and controls, regulatory reporting (with oversight from the EHS Manger) and to independently manage manufacturing projects with an environmental component to them. The environmental engineer will work closely with the waste treatment supervisor and the EHS and Facility managers to ensure TTM excels in compliance with all applicable requirements and remains on the forefront of environmental excellence. This position will provide services at our Littleton facilities at 8192 Southpark Ln, Littleton CO, and 10720 Bradford Rd, Littleton, Colorado.

  • Good mathematical skills, good computer skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook (email)
  • Work up to 10 plus hours a day, 5 days a week, and is flexible to work on weekends and alternate shifts.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Reads and understands blue prints.
  • Reads and understands specifications and procedures.
  • CAD knowledge or willingness to learn.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Processors and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science a plus.
  • Waste Water Treatment experience and/or qualifying experience in PCB manufacturing or similar technical expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate projects including new start-up, upgrading existing processes and looking for more cost effective and efficient ways to run all water/waste water treatment facilities.
  • Design and oversee construction of all environmental improvement projects throughout the business unit including overseeing contractors that are on site for environmental purposes.
  • Develop and analyze data to create predictive models for use in waste treatment processes
  • Work with production to be proactive with any design/process changes that will have an environmental impact.
  • Assist in conducting environmental site evaluations in conjunction with the EHS department and 3rd party environmental consultants to develop efficient site compliance strategies
  • Overhaul and maintain treatment facility’s O&Ms, process flow diagrams and operational procedures for all environmental control systems.
  • Test procedures to see that they are current and being followed.
  • Responsibilities include the reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns.
  • Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all Safety Procedures and alerts.
  • Develop tools to aid in regulatory reporting data collection.
  • Complete all regulatory reporting including Wastewater DMR’s, TIER II, TRI, Biennial Hazardous waste, Air emission calculations and any other applicable regulatory reporting.
  • Facilitates and attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, suggests and composes procedural changes, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors’ safety hazards and issues.
