About The Position

CDM Smith is looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Services team in Fairfax! As part of our team, you’ll perform essential engineering tasks related to remediation sites. Your responsibilities could include reviewing shop drawings, developing engineering specifications, conducting fieldwork, and creating designs to meet client project requirements. You’ll also prepare and review remediation documents, including draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations, ensuring that firm policies and practices are followed on all projects. You may conduct site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure projects are aligned with client and location specifications. Additionally, you could contribute to technical knowledge management (TKM) through white papers and design documentation of new or special case designs and studies and you may collaborate on conference materials like posters or presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • 0 years of experience
  • Basic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices
  • Basic Knowledge of engineer principles of design
  • Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.)
  • Good verbal and written communication ability
  • An appropriate and valid driver's license is required
