About The Position
Earth Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to primarily provide environmental permitting and technical support to a portfolio of remediation, site assessment, and regulatory compliance projects throughout the state of Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in environmental consulting to gain experience with high-profile projects for diverse clients in retail petroleum, oil & gas, government, insurance, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, geology, or related science discipline.
- Minimum of 10-20 years of environmental permitting, compliance and consulting experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Florida PRP UST program.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental compliance rules, EPA regulations and agency structure in Florida and surrounding states.
- Proven field experience with emergency response, contaminant investigations, compliance auditing, and remediation.
- Hands-on experience in geological/hydrogeological investigations and remediation.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage work product development and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Ability to handle information confidentially.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
- FEMA ICS training.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineering licensure in the state of FL is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide environmental permitting and technical support to remediation, site assessment, and regulatory compliance projects.
- Develop and manage work product development to meet deadlines.
- Handle information confidentially.
- Perform groundwater modeling, fate and transport analyses, multi-media sampling, feasibility testing, remediation system design, installation, and O&M.
- Conduct QA/QC review of reports.
