About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer to join their world-class EHS team in Berkeley, MO. This role involves supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental management systems, processes, and programs. The engineer will work with site stakeholders to assess the impact of industrial wastewater issues on company operations and will support the site's interface with state and federal regulatory agencies, including environmental reporting. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in Environmental Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience interacting directly with state and federal regulatory agencies
  • 3+ years of experience with environmental compliance, field sampling, spill response, and water quality.
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Wastewater Permit/ Management experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study, in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental management, biology or chemistry.
  • Experience with environmental compliance regulations

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and expertise in areas of industrial wastewater, field sampling and regulatory reporting.
  • Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental management systems, processes and programs.
  • Works with site stakeholders to assess the impact of emerging industrial wastewater issues on company operations.
  • Supports site interface with state and federal regulatory agencies and environmental reporting.
