About The Position

This role is for an Environmental Engineer or Geologist who enjoys both the technical challenge of solving complex environmental problems and the client-facing side of developing relationships and winning work. The Greensboro, NC office is growing and seeking a leader to manage projects, provide technical oversight, mentor staff, and drive business opportunities in the local market. The Greensboro office has partnered with clients in public, private, energy, and transportation sectors since 1974, working on projects that improve places where people live and work.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional environmental engineering or geology experience
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Excellent business development abilities
• A Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license

Nice To Haves

• Existing client relationships in the local market are preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, drilling operations, and monitoring well installation
• Analyze environmental data and contribute to technical reports and regulatory documentation
• Collaborate on project planning and execution to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Prepare proposals, manage project schedules, and track deadlines
• Evaluate budgets and support business development initiatives
