Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field from an accredited program.
2-5 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm, including a strong background in site investigation, remediation, construction, and hazardous building materials projects.
Strong commitment to health, safety, and safe work practices mandatory.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current annual refresher
Detailed oriented with excellent organizational, technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Certification as an Asbestos Inspector in the State of Massachusetts and/or other New England States or the willingness and qualifications to obtain the certification.
Experience with database software, ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate field activities and subcontractors.
Develop technical documents including work plans and remediation specifications.
Contribute to project planning and execution.
Support the evaluation of suspect hazardous building materials associated with building renovations and demolition projects.
Conduct site characterization activities.
Remediation system design, operation, maintenance, and monitoring.
Data management/tracking and reporting.
Field work, data management, report writing, and interaction with project staff.
