About The Position

Michels Corporation is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to provide environmental support services to critical industries. The Environmental Department offers expertise to advance operations and critical infrastructure projects. As an Environmental Coordinator, your key responsibility will be to coordinate and document field environmental compliance on a power transmission line construction project. This position will coordinate proactive environmental field compliance with the construction team. You will review scopes of work, draft construction permits and compliance plans, collect and analyze multi-media sampling, perform environmental observations and audits, and track and manage regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of environmental compliance or related construction experience.
  • Knowledgeable with environmental construction compliance topics and applicable regulations, including but not limited to storm water best management, process water control, waste storage and disposal, general air compliance, and fuel storage.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different audience types both in-person and using technology (e.g. PowerPoint, TEAMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Ability to live near the project location.
  • A valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Bachelor or Associate degree with emphasis in environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • Advanced training or education in Environmental or Technical Field, with equivalent years may be acceptable.
  • Advanced Excel expertise.
  • Previous experience advising utility construction teams on environmental compliance issues, negotiating company best interests with customers.
