About The Position
HB NEXT is seeking an Environmental Consultant / NPDES Inspector for the Greenville/New Bern, NC area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, value flexibility, and are motivated to make an impact. The position involves supporting environmental compliance on active construction sites, focusing on self-motivation, customer service, and relationship building. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated professionals committed to ethical practices and mutual support.
Requirements
- NC state erosion certification (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain within 60 days (training can be provided by HB NEXT).
- Previous construction field experience is highly desired.
- Reliable transportation.
- Self-starter mentality.
Responsibilities
- Conducting inspections on active construction sites to ensure environmental compliance.
- Supporting SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) and NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) requirements.
- Building relationships with clients and site teams.
- Providing hands-on experience in environmental compliance.
