About The Position
HB NEXT is seeking an Environmental Consultant / NPDES Inspector based in Charlotte, North Carolina, to support its regional operations. This field-based role focuses on stormwater and NPDES inspections at construction sites and helping site personnel comply with environmental regulations. The consultant documents inspection findings and recommendations using HB NEXT’s proprietary software and travels to job sites across the region. Most work takes place outdoors on active construction sites. The position offers flexible work hours and may be available full-time or part-time.
Requirements
- National or North Carolina Erosion Certification (or equivalent), Charlotte-Mecklenburg certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days; training is available through HB NEXT.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Strong communication skills.
- A self-starter mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Prior construction or field inspection experience is highly preferred.
