The projects that the Environmental Consultant works on will include due diligence investigations and remediations of varying complexity. You will be responsible for client coordination, planning and implementing field activities, evaluating data and measurements collected during field work and preparing Phase I ESAs and technical documents under the direction of a Project Manager. These duties are performed individually or as part of a team. The Environmental Consultant is responsible for adhering to established project goals and timeframes. You will also provide support to Project Managers/LSRPs in technical meetings with clients and NJDEP.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in geology, biology, environmental science or similar science degree and 3+ years of due diligence experience and performing investigation and remediation activities in NJ
  • Well versed in ASTM Phase I ESA Standards and NJDEP Technical Guidance Documents and Technical Requirements for Site Remediation
  • Experienced with due diligence requirements and commercial and industrial property transactional requirements
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Flexible to work outside of normal business hours as required
  • 40-hr OSHA training
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Work approximately 60% of the time in the office preparing reports and related remedial documents. The remainder of the time they will be engaged in completing due diligence inspections and overseeing field investigation and remediation activities
  • Will work under the direction of a Project Manager/LSRP to advance due diligence activities and design remedial activities
  • Provide sound technical recommendations to Project Manager/LSRP
  • Prepare Phase I ESAs and technical reports including NJDEP PAR, SIR, RIR, RAW, RAR and soil and groundwater permit applications
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Coordinate with subcontractors
