About The Position
HB NEXT is seeking an Environmental Consultant / NPDES Inspector for the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, value flexibility, and are motivated to support environmental compliance on construction sites. The position offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time, salaried role within a team of dedicated professionals committed to doing things the right way and supporting each other. HB NEXT, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has been a compliance partner since 1999, providing SWPPP, NPDES, and safety inspection solutions using proprietary technology and expertise to help clients navigate OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements. They offer practical solutions from inspections to training to keep projects moving and communities protected.
Requirements
- NC state erosion certification (or equivalent), Charlotte-Mecklenburg certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days (can be provided by HB NEXT)
- Previous construction field experience highly desired
- Reliable transportation
- Self-starter
Responsibilities
- Conducting environmental compliance inspections on active construction sites.
- Supporting environmental compliance across active construction sites.
- Building relationships with clients and site teams.
- Performing boots-on-the-ground inspections.
- Providing training and consulting services.
