About The Position

The Environmental Compliance Department serves as an advisory resource to the Operations Departments. The candidate will summarize compliance requirements including federal and state statutes and regulations that govern the oil and gas industry for the Company. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will work with other members of the Environmental Compliance Department, liaise with Range's Operations Departments, and help coordinate the development of procedures, field guides and forms and compliance auditing and training. Works with Environmental Compliance Management to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; supports the implementation of corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Prepares presentations for training and awareness of compliance issues and coordinates specialized training activities. Monitors and audits compliance activities of Operations Departments and other Environmental Compliance staff to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends. Supports an effective compliance communication program for the Environmental Compliance Department, including promoting (a) a compliance-based culture; (b) heightened awareness of Range's core values to put safety and the environment first, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and how they impact the business. Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Safety & Security, Government Relations, Legal, Human Resources, and Operations Departments) to resolve compliance issues. Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Environmental Compliance Management Team informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts. Develops, reviews, and makes recommendations on air monitoring projects and designs. Assist staff in preparing and submitting air compliance reports and emissions inventories. Reviews and assist in preparing comments on proposed air regulations and policy changes. Being courteous, cooperative, and helpful are conditions of employment with Range. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's in environmental, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum Experience: 3+ years of regulatory compliance experience or master's degree in a related field
  • Oil & Gas Experience Required: Yes
  • Problem solving
  • Professional dealing with coworkers, management, contractors, and others
  • Knowledge of oil and gas laws and regulations
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Basic understanding of well bore design and surface activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Pennsylvania air regulations and general permits GP-5/5A and exemption 38 is a plus
