The City of Pasco Public Works Department is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Coordinator to support and lead key environmental permitting and regulatory compliance programs. This position plays an important role in coordinating compliance activities for programs such as Pretreatment Permits, FOG, Stormwater, Water, Wastewater, and other regulatory-mandated programs. Work includes preparing permit applications and reports, tracking regulatory deadlines, supporting inspections and monitoring activities, communicating with regulatory agencies and commercial/industrial users, and helping ensure City programs remain in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-directed individual contributor who can take initiative, follow direction, manage multiple priorities, and help move compliance efforts forward. This role requires strong organization, technical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to coordinate program activities and work effectively with City staff, regulatory agencies, businesses, and the public. If you are organized, accountable, and enjoy working in both office and field environments to support environmental compliance and public service, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing community.
