About The Position

Job Summary: The Environmental Compliance and Permitting Project manager is a key position within Trihydro’s Industrial and Chemical Services Unit. You will play an essential role in delivering effective, responsive, and safe solutions for private industrial and commercial clients, transit authorities, and municipalities. Core skills and roles associated with this position include: Proven Project Management skills. Ability to assemble and lead multi-disciplinary teams to successfully execute projects. Experience and technical expertise with core environmental regulatory programs, including RCRA, CERLCA, CWA, CAA, and TSCA. Proven technical expertise with managing and executing environmental permitting and compliance projects; developing SPCC Plans, SWPPPs, and NPDES permits; providing hazardous waste, hazardous materials, EMS, air quality, and other environmental regulatory compliance services. Ability and desire to lead and mentor staff spanning diverse experience levels and technical fields, including engineers, geologists, and field technicians. Project Delivery: The position will also rely on your experience in project delivery and demonstrated ability to not only meet but exceed client expectations while ensuring profitability. The position will provide you with the opportunity to mentor and guide others in this field and will require you to exhibit a willingness to perform a project manager role. Project management responsibilities include: Defining project scope and objectives. Developing detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation. Preparing engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical memorandums, reports, and permit applications. Reviewing compliance plans and permit packages. Monitoring project progress and taking corrective action as needed. Ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget. Leading, mentoring, and managing project teams, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress. Supporting client stewardship and business development activities. Qualifications: BS degree, prefer MS degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field 10+ years of relevant environmental industry experience, prefer PE, PG, and/or CHMM Experience must include knowledge of SPCC, RCRA, CWA, SWPPP, UST/AST systems, Federal and State regulations Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with project team members. Proficient time management and organizational skills. Open to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices nationwide. Ability to maintain existing client relationships, as well as develop new client relationships. Value teamwork to achieve project goals. Previous project management experience. Fluency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project is mandatory. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and affiliated applications is helpful.
