About The Position

The Environmental Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining LES’s regulatory intelligence and environmental compliance systems across multiple jurisdictions. This role serves as a key internal resource, translating complex environmental regulations into actionable insights that support field operations, customer solutions, and compliance initiatives. This position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to independently research, interpret, and organize regulatory information related to wastewater, grease interceptors (FOG), used cooking oil (UCO), and environmental services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex written material
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage structured data
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in environmental compliance, regulatory research, or a related field
  • Experience working with environmental regulations, wastewater systems, or municipal codes
  • Familiarity with compliance tracking systems or data management tools

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research of federal, state, and local regulations related to wastewater systems, grease interceptors (FOG), oil-water separators, and environmental compliance requirements
  • Interpret ordinances and regulatory language, translating findings into structured, usable internal data
  • Identify new or changing regulations and ensure timely updates to internal systems
  • Own and manage LES’s regulatory database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and usability
  • Maintain and update regulatory data across multiple markets and jurisdictions
  • Standardize and structure regulatory information to support operational use
  • Serve as the administrative owner of key EH&S systems and trackers, including: MYM system Incident Tracker NOV (Notice of Violation) Tracker Spill Tracker
  • Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and system integrity
  • Support monthly reporting processes and compliance reviews
  • Partner with Field Operations and Customer Solutions teams to support regulatory-related customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with Environmental Compliance and Legal teams on initiatives and regulatory interpretation
  • Support enterprise initiatives such as the e-manifest project
