About The Position

The Environmental Compliance Administrator supports the Environmental Compliance Analyst team with comprehensive administrative tasks. The role collaborates directly with a team of Environmental Compliance Analyst's, vendors, territory managers, and site operators to assist in maintaining environmental compliance of underground storage tank (UST) systems including invoicing, data entry, and reporting. The Administrator role involves understanding state/federal regulations, maintaining databases, monitoring release detection equipment, coordinating invoice processing, and assisting with contractor/vendor work orders. The ideal candidate demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in environmental management or a related field required. Equivalent years of experience will be considered.
Working knowledge of environmental regulations and state-specific requirements.
Understanding of UST compliance and environmental permitting.
Strong organizational skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently.

Nice To Haves

4+ years of Environmental Compliance, Environmental Administration, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), HSE, Regulatory Affairs, EPA Compliance, UST Compliance, Environmental Permitting, Environmental Reporting, or related experience preferred.
Experience with permits and UST's is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Track permit renewals, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements across multiple states and jurisdictions.
Assist in obtaining and renewing permits related to: Underground Storage Tanks (USTs), Air quality permits, Licenses to sell fuel, Hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, Facility questionnaires, Any/all other permits that may be required at the local/state/federal levels.
Assist Environmental Compliance Analysts with regulatory paperwork related to: Change in ownership, Placing tanks out of service, Updating contact information, Updating UST leak detection methods, Any/all other forms that may be required by local and state regulatory agencies.
Assist in documenting environmental incidents, spills, releases, and regulatory notifications.
Coordinate communication with environmental consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Track corrective actions and maintain incident-related documentation.
Review and code invoices for billing and submit for approval to accounts payable.
Analyze environmental data to identify compliance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Any additional duties as assigned.
