About The Position

This role is for an Environmental Engineering Co-op, contributing to environmental surveys, sample analysis, record maintenance, and project participation across mill and box plant locations.

Requirements

  • A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
  • Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver’s license.
  • Majoring in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Must have completed freshman year or will have completed freshman year at time of co-op or internship.

  • Currently a member of the paper foundation at specific listed universities (Auburn University, Georgia Tech University, University of Maine, Miami University (Ohio), University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, NC State University, SUNY ESF, University of Washington – Seattle, Western Michigan University, University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point).
  • Currently enrolled at any State University or Technological University in AL, FL, GA, IL, ID, LA, MI, MN, MS, NC, ND, OH, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI.
  • Students who sign up for interviews during Career Fairs and On-Campus Interview days will be given first consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with environmental surveys and audits through site visits to mill and box plant locations.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage environmental samples including wastewater, stormwater, and other process areas.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and update or create SOPs as needed.
  • Maintain and improve environmental records and documentation systems.
  • Participate in environmental engineering projects related to wastewater treatment, landfill operations, residuals management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with environmental corporate and site staff to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
