Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in an engineering field; OR A master's degree in an engineering field or a chemical or physical science field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Title V, PSD, Acid Rain, and NSR actions.
- Familiarity with BACT/LAER requirements.
- Experience with administrative amendments, variances, and enforcement referrals.
- Ability to participate in meetings and site visits.
- Willingness to assist in training new employees.
Responsibilities
- Review air permit applications to determine applicable federal and state regulations and verify emissions calculations for industrial projects.
- Draft major and minor source air permits including Title V, PSD, Acid Rain, and NSR actions, along with Statements of Basis.
- Evaluate control technologies by determining BACT/LAER requirements and requesting additional technical information from applicants as needed.
- Prepare supplemental permit actions such as administrative amendments, variances, enforcement referrals, and public-facing documentation.
- Participate in meetings and site visits with industry, LDEQ staff, and the public, and assist in training new employees.
