About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Environmental Building Sciences Field Technician to join our Northeast Division in the Woburn, MA office. This role is crucial for conducting hazardous materials surveys, providing oversight for remediation projects, and preparing technical reports. You will be part of a collaborative team working on diverse environmental projects in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Requirements

BA/BS in Environmental Science, or related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
2+ years of experience in the Industrial Hygiene / Hazardous Building Materials industry.
Asbestos certifications required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong safety mindset and record of safe work practices.
Valid driver’s license, good driving history, and reliable transportation required.
Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness, and required PPE.

Nice To Haves

Lead and/or 40-hr HAZWOPER preferred
Proficient in MS Office and other commonly used computer programs preferred.
Familiarity with State and federal regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct hazardous materials surveys, including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, other hazardous materials, and indoor air quality.
Provide oversight of contaminated site remediation and hazardous building materials abatement.
Prepare field notes, photographs, and perform analysis and interpretation of field and analytical data.
Prepare technical reports for hazardous materials for site assessments.
Support emergency response services, communicate and collaborate with others, manage workloads and records, implement health & safety policies, and travel.
