About The Position

As an Analyst I or II in our Wilmington, NC lab, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The compensation range for this role is $22.00 to $27.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. This position will train on 1st shift hours. Once training is complete this position will move to 2nd shift.

Requirements

• BA / BS Degree in Chemistry or Natural Science (or equivalent training)
• 2-4 years’ experience in an environmental analytical chemistry
• Instrument software or commercial laboratory experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples utilizing LCMSMS and GCMS
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance
• Process data in accordance with SOPs for inclusion in client reports
• Proficient with office software and ability to learn required operational/quantification software
• Aid in development and optimization of analytical methods
• Maintain and update knowledge of relevant instrumentation
• Readily adapt to change in a positive manner and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Comply with laboratory quality assurance plan and other policies
• Other duties as assigned
