About The Position

Environmental Aide At Vancrest we live out our mission every day by delivering personalize care in our facility where residents' comfort and quality of life always come first. Environmental Aide position is a short term position to allow team members to decide if they would like to further their career in long-term care by attending STNA classes to become state tested and/or the next step by enrolling in a nursing program (RN or LPN).

Requirements

• Physically able to move (sit, stand, bend and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
• Able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Able to assist with the evacuation of residents.

Responsibilities

• Make beds, take out trash and dirty linens
• Pass snacks, ice, and water pitchers
• Pass meal trays in the dining room and resident rooms (cannot feed residents)
• Pick up finished trays and dirty dishes from rooms.
• Wipe off tables.
• Label and stock resident personal care items and shower rooms
• Answer call lights (inform STNA of resident's need if unable to help)
• Clean wheelchairs
• Performing other related activities as assigned or requested.
