SGS is seeking a motivated and energetic Environmental Account Manager with expertise in business development or client service and a passion for solution-based selling. This remote position, based in or local to Houston, DFW, or Austin, Texas, is responsible for selling environmental analytical services to existing and prospective customers, securing business opportunities to meet revenue targets, and generating revenue for SGS environmental laboratories. The Account Manager will manage a client portfolio, build long-term relationships, and liaise between customers, the Client Services team, and lab operations to meet customer needs. The role involves identifying business leads, initiating contact with prospective customers, developing industry networks, conducting discovery sessions to identify client needs, assessing client needs against SGS capabilities, developing value propositions, promoting business opportunities, closing proposals, communicating sales activities, and providing market intelligence. The Account Manager will also represent SGS at tradeshows and seminars, act as the customer's advocate, set customer expectations, and maintain professional and ethical conduct. Continuous development of selling skills, industry knowledge, and expertise in environmental services is expected.
