About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. The team member will provide friendly customer service, assist customers in finding products, and ensure the store is clean and safe for both customers and staff. This position involves performing cleaning tasks, mixing cleaning solutions, deep cleaning specific areas, and maintaining cleaning equipment. The role also includes other duties such as operating the checkout, promoting loyalty programs, assisting with online order fulfillment, participating in stocking and inventory processes, and supporting safety and loss prevention programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential.

Requirements

Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
Execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
